Moses Fishbein passed away

Today, May 26, at about 19:00 in the First Kyiv City Hospital №1, one of the most famous Ukrainian poets and translators, a member of the Union of Writers and the Ukrainian PEN Moses Fishbein died after a long illness.

Moses Fishbein was a prominent Ukrainian poet and translator, winner of the Vasyl Stus Prize, a member of the Ukrainian Center of the International PEN Club and the National Union of Writers of Ukraine.

Moses Fishbein had been severely ill for the past year. Friends did their best to give the seriously ill poet more than six months of life.

But the miracle did not happen.
