The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Statement due to the terrorist`s destruction of Malaysian airliner in eastern Ukraine

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress with pain and profound indignation learned about the barbaric terrorist attack that led to the deaths of nearly 300 people, mostly – the citizens of the Netherlands, and 80 of them – children. In the sky above the Donetsk region of Ukraine terrorists, as far as it is known today, shot down a civilian airliner flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. All passengers on the board, and the crew members had perished.

Ukrainian Jews have written a letter accusing Russian President Vladimir Putin

Josef Zisels, chairman of the Association of Jewish Communities and Organizations of Ukraine (VAAD), and several other prominent Ukrainian Jews have written a letter accusing Russian President Vladimir Putin of exaggerating the plight of Russian-speaking citizens (including Jews) under the newly established Ukrainian government, as well as exaggerating the need to protect those citizens as an excuse for an armed incursion into Crimea.

NCSJ: Statement about situation in Ukraine

The situation in Ukraine today turned dire as Russian lawmakers unanimously approved a request by Russian President Vladimir Putin to send armed forces to Ukraine.
There are reports that Russian military forces are already in Crimea, and more are on their way to Ukraine.
