Congratulations of the Chairman of Vaad of Ukraine Mr. Josef Zissels to Mark Levin’s 25-th anniversary of his activities at the NCSJ

Dear friends,

Lets agree that the most touching and effecting events in the life of each person is – family holidays. The birthday of the child or parent or brother these events are not just for the memory. Such events without any doubts are really of great importance, and we can see it each time when all family is sitting together, and we don’t need any explanations here.
Our closeness – this is the type of cognation and it is not because of professional duty or necessity. We are so close to each other because of spiritual and mental unity. It was proved by the years.
I am sure that the family is stable, free, disinterested union of people, where every person cannot imagine his life without each other.
In such way was, is, and I have no doubt that will be our relationship with NCSJ. It was always like this:

1. When we “Jews of silence” listened through “jammer” western radio stations, and we could hear the voices of those who thought about us;
2. When we, Jews of ex-USSR joined the parties struggling for freedom and democracy, were giving to each other “tamizdat”(published abroad) and “samizdat” (underground publishing) books;
3. When we, Jewish activists joined clubs to study Hebrew, Jewish history and traditions;
4. When we Jewish-refusal (those who didn’t get permission for departure from USSR) where deprived of our houses without the right to be ourselves;
5. When we just for the desire to be the Jew where sent to GULAG;
6. And Now when we all think and work for the benefit of Jewish people and Jewish State.

Our friendship, our cognition, our closeness, our cooperation and our family relationships, which makes our enemies to envy, makes me feel happy and proud that I was the witness, participant and hero of this beautiful epoch.
But now, I don’t want like other people to express elation that we celebrate 25-th anniversary of Marks Levin’s activity. I want to express my deep concern that we had to wait for 25 years to wish him and his family members health and happiness, great and honored success.
